If you are like me, you’ve bought many raincoats over the years–many of them trench coats or colorful, almost dress-like coats for spring. These are fun and a great addition to your wardrobe. A couple of years ago, I spent more than $250 on a spring coat, which for me, at the time, was a big investment. What was it??? A raincoat with a hood–royal blue with a plaid lining. Believe it or not, it was a fantastic investment–a coat I always reach for in Indiana during rainy spring days. We have many of them here. My coat was my Helly Hansen (as is the yellow coat here). It is amazing. I still love it. It’s fitted too, and I think it looks very fashionable. Another good raincoat brand is Barbour, pictured in the red here.
I always recommend to clients to invest in good quality coats. They elevate an outfit, and keep out the elements whether it be snow or rain. They keep you warm.
I always like a hood on my raincoat — because it eliminates the need for an umbrella. One last thing I have to worry about.
I am thinking of adding some rain boots, something I think I need. I won’t buy the plain black ones–mine will be colorful and fashionable. Stay tuned.
With cute clothes such as these, somehow the rain doesn’t make me so blue!
Keep it sassy, Indy.
