Men’s Accessories that Add Style and Pizazz!

As trends come and go, I always advise clients not to throw out classics they may reach for in another season. While styles do change and updates are required over time, a good classic tie and pocket square are standout accessories you always need. As a Men’s Personal Stylist, I believe they can be great for adding style to your look.

Men’s Personal Stylist Accessory Tips

Think of a tie not as an obligation, but as an amazing fashion accessory. I’ve included some tie suggestions from David Edwards Clothier, a retail option that features designer clothing in small batches.

“The Tie is Back — And Hotter Than Ever

Open collars are everywhere… but YOU can stand out. A tie is your secret weapon — adding a pop of color, a flash of pattern, and a whole lot of personality to your outfit. It’s not old-fashioned. It’s iconic.

✅ Pattern Play : Pair a subtly textured tie with a patterned shirt — checks, stripes, or geometric prints — for a look that’s dynamic yet refined.
✅ Athleisure Edge +: Who said ties are just for suits? Pair one with an athleisure jacket & tailored trousers for modern cool.
✅ ✅ Stand Out — bring color & confidence to any outfit

Don’t let your ties gather dust — give them the perfect canvas.“

A pocket square is another great accessory and can enhance a sport coat or suit. I have always loved them and even wear them myself. I like to add them to my navy blazer, especially when I wear jeans.

The pocket square originated in ancient Greece and Rome as a practical handkerchief, evolving into a fashion statement during the 19th and 20th centuries. In the early 1900s, it became a staple of refined men’s style, especially with suits and sport coats.
Common types of pocket squares include the cotton or linen pocket square for classic formality, silk for elegance and sheen, and wool for texture in cooler seasons. Folding styles vary—straight, puff, one-point, and crown folds—each adding character and finishing flair to a tailored look.
