Personal Image Consultant Advice for Successful Packing
Build Around a Color that Provides Versatility
Here in this photo, you can see me during my visit to Manhattan in March. I planned my outfits for three days around my bright pink coat by incorporating the following items:
- burgundy leather pants
- hot pink sweater twin
- warm hoody
- black leather skirt
- statement blouse
- blue floral dress with booties
- black New Balance sneakers
- black heels
By planning outifts around a versatile color, you can increase the mix-and-match options you have to work with.
Use Layering
Having outfits with layers can really come in handy. I nearly always take some type of lightweight sweater in a neutral color that I can wear alone or on top of another piece. I nearly always need it! By keeping layering options in mind, you can give yourself flexibility for both fashion and weather during your travel time.
Stay Organized
Keep your belongings organized and maximize your luggage space with packing cubes. For pieces of jewelry and accessories, help keep them tangle-free with pill organizers. Also, cord organizers and labels can prove really helpful when storing your charging cords and cables. Focus on enjoying your time at the destination instead of struggling to find or untangle the things that you packed.
