Hello Fashionistas,
If you’ve ever been a fan of suede, then this is your season! Just look around: Suede is showing up everywhere–in shoes, purses, skirts, jackets, etc. in a variety of colors. Think about investing in some type of suede items this fall, even if it’s only a purse or shoes. I thinking about a rust suede skirt since it looks so chic with black and even burgundy — the color of my two fav leather jackets.
I have also seen some beautiful pale lavender and even pink suede shoes. It’s sometimes nice to mix a delicate pale color with your winter wardrobe. Don’t get caught up in the all black or all dark colors for winter. It can be depressing!! I think I fell into this rut last winter. I had gained about 15 pounds and didn’t feel slim or chic. I was buying all dark colors. While of course I just didn’t throw all of these items out, this season I am mixing a little pastel such as a pale rose Mary Jane shoe with my burgundy fall dresses.
Saddle bag purses such as this blue one from Coach are hot this season in suede and traditional leather. They are a nice cross body option.
Grey suede is another beautiful neutral you can wear with so many things such as black, burgundy, navy, red, etc. Coach has some beautiful grey suede sachets for fall.
If real suede is not your thing, consider some of the very real looking faux options, such as the dress below, from Nordstrom, easily ordered for our Indianapolis Nordstrom store.
Pale lavender shoes are from 6 pm by Ivanka Trump. Mini skirt and suede boots are from ASOS.com. Blue saddle back is from Coach.com. If you want shop local, try DSW, Macy’s and Nordstrom–my go-to in-town options for shoes in Indianapolis.
Keep an eye out for suede, and you’ll be up on the latest trends!
Keep it sassy, Indy.
